{"id":321,"date":"2008-02-18T20:09:56","date_gmt":"2008-02-18T20:09:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/virtualchaos.co.uk\/blog\/2008\/02\/18\/cbso-youth-orchestra-another-resounding-success\/"},"modified":"2008-02-18T20:13:37","modified_gmt":"2008-02-18T20:13:37","slug":"cbso-youth-orchestra-another-resounding-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/virtualchaos.co.uk\/blog\/2008\/02\/18\/cbso-youth-orchestra-another-resounding-success\/","title":{"rendered":"CBSO Youth Orchestra &#8211; another resounding success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had an enchanting evening yesterday watching Alex perform with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsoyouthorchestra.com\/\">CBSO Youth Orchestra<\/a> &#8230; Richard&#8217;s been planning the evening for a while hoping that it would cheer me up or take my mind off things &#8211; I haven&#8217;t really been out since dad passed away so I wasn&#8217;t sure whether I&#8217;d really be able to enjoy it or whether I&#8217;d end up feeling quite distant and removed from it all. Fortunately it really was an amazing evening, I think it did me good to get out.<\/p>\n<p>Alex was obviously playing so Richard, (the delightful) Moona and myself were watching intently and taking more than just a few (embarrassing?) pictures of our little <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">prima-donna<\/span> \ud83d\ude09 The orchestra played three pieces:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font: 12.0px Helvetica\">\n<ul>\n<li>Britten Four Sea Interludes (from Peter Grimes)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font: 12.0px Helvetica\">\n<ul>\n<li>Shostakovich Cello Concerto No.1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font: 12.0px Helvetica\">\n<ul>\n<li>Bartok Concerto for Orchestra<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I really enjoyed the cello Concerto which was led by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imgartists.com\/?id=167&amp;page=artist\">Guy Johnston<\/a> who was, in a word, <strong>amazing!<\/strong>.
