I got a call after lunch informing me my younger brother had been involved in a car accident, after everything else that&#8217;s happened lately my reaction was to panic (a bit?), fortunately he is fine and unhurt but I remember as I rushed home from work asking myself what did we do deserve all the bad things that seem to have happened lately. At times like this I often find myself either praying for help, or railing against God and how unfair his design seems to be.<\/p>\n<p>Once I realised my brother was actually ok a rather random thought lept into my mind &#8230; it was something I heard once on a sci-fi show &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><pre>You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. \r\nThen I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, \r\nand all the terrible things that happen to us come \r\nbecause we actually deserve them?
